- 6 slices Protein Banana Bread or your choice of high protein bread
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/3 cup 80g Milk
- 1 teaspoon 4g Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- Pinch of Kosher Salt
Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, and salt. Set aside.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
Once hot, add cooking spray. Dip the sliced protein bread in the egg mixture and place in the skillet.
Cook for about 2 minutes or until golden brown before flipping and cooking an additional 2 minutes. For a larger batch, you can keep finished slices in an oven set to a low heat (~200ºF).
Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar, fresh banana slices, peanut butter, and syrup.
The protein banana bread I used has 150 calories, 10g protein, 14g carbs, and 6g fat per slice.
Nutrition facts are for the protein French toast slices only, no toppings.
I used 2% Fairlife milk, but almond milk or any milk should work fine.
